PREVIOUS MAJOR PERFORMANCES - KINGWOOD BIG BAND
Kingwood Big Band is honored to have performed at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in July 2007. Attended by over 250,000 jazz fans, it is one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world,
and Kingwood Big Band was pleased to represent Kingwood and Houston in this global venue. In honor of this recognition, Houston Mayor Bill White and members of the Houston City Council declared October 27, 2006 as Kingwood Big Band Day. On the same trip, the band also performed in Rome and for the Assisi (Italy) Music Festival.
